An Interview With Dr. Brian Shirts: Preventing Hereditary Cancer Through Genealogy
Most hereditary cancers, including those associated with BRCA1 mutations and Lynch syndrome, can be prevented through a combination of genetic testing, surveillance, and surgery. Yet only a small minority of eligible individuals currently receive this lifesaving intervention. In this interview, Dr. Brian Shirts, director of the Institute for Public Health Genetics at the University of Washington, discusses a new nonprofit organization that uses family connections to identify individuals at high risk for hereditary cancers and other adult-onset hereditary diseases.

ARUP steals Genomes from unsuspecting hospital patients and data bases them. Check your online med. chart for evidence in the billing section, must expand to read all.
ARUP is all about stealing genetic signatures and databasing them. That is why they also are a serological testing center, to get more genomes.
They will steal your genetic signature with collaboration from your hospital or clinic and you will be charged hundreds for the fiasco.

I am a Medical laboratory scientist from Ghana and currently working in a histopathology lab. I did histopathology from my courses in school. Am I eligible to apply for this exam? I didn’t attend any separate histology program

Dr randomly said she’s gonna send to a lab to see levels to determine if I’m taking 2 a day and basically said if the levels are low I’m gonna be kicked out in my defense I don’t always need 2 and didn’t take any the day of so are they gonna kick me out or not be able to tell enough
Any suggestions on a practice tests online?
Can someone answer this for me? I worked briefly in a histo lab as a lab aide, I used to pick up the slides from the histotechs, but would forget to put them in the dryer first for 20 minutes, but would put them in the stainer. Is this really bad? Also, I noticed that the other lab aides changed the stainer too often wasting product, I only changed the alcohol (not the ink, aides didn't change those) whenever it looked dirty. Is I ok for this? Another thing, I noticed that a lot of techs were grandfathered into the position. I kind of don't like this, in a way. They come in uneducated and gossipy making the profession less professional. I prefer that people go to school for this.
Background noise is aweful.
Is cerebrospinal fluid and semen are same or different thing? Is Myelin produced from semen ?
In my opinion everyone is different and pain doctors aren’t very good. Always argue with patients about something and the patient knows his or hers body what it could take and what it can’t. And you wonder why so many people die is because they go elsewhere for drugs if you’re in pain you do anything to get rid of it. The doctors don’t know a lot about anything that’s why they call it practicing medicine. They tell you it’s highly addictive it’s a lot of BS. Just like alcohol some people are alcoholics and some people or not same thing with drugs. If you have an addictive personality you could get addicted to anything. between Dr. Fauci type doctors are killing more people and they blame it on narcotics, it’s your body it should be your choice. Countries allow all kinds of drugs have less problems with drugs that is a fact. Doctors screwed up and they’re not accountable that’s another problem. This needs to be fixed there’s a lot of people suffering out there and shouldn’t have to be suffering with pain. It’s on humane we treat animals better. We need to get all the quacks out practice. Start helping people.

Having been there for 25 years, it is amazing how far we have come.
Is compulsory....????? Before kidney biopsy... answer please mam...
Nicely done, Corrin!
This kind of testing sounds much better than what many pain doctors do--one immunoassay test, then refusing any more pain prescriptions to the patient that failed. These tests are only accurate 85 to 90% of the time. But doctors and insurance companies like cheap tests, and never mind about harm to the patient.

Wtf are u off Med dude?
I can tell you now 100% honestly that I’ve been on OxyContin for over 12 years & did a urine test screen for opiates, diazepam & various other things. I have been on both meds on prescription. I tested positive for diazepam but NEGATIVE for opiates???? I couldn’t believe it as I’m taking 100mg of oxy a day. Any ideas on how this could of happened???
I hope you didn't get kicked off. Was this the first test or a confirmation?
This happens more often than you think. I failed three urine drug tests before I finally passed a confirmation test.
